A beautiful cottage, we loved the how much it felt a part of the history of Amble.
Fantastically located on the coast path - great access to the Coquet River, Amble & its beaches & Warkworth.
It has a cute, well-equipped kitchen, fantastic shower, a comfy sofa & a really comfy double bed! A brilliant place to stay, explore locally & then head out to see the beautiful beaches, castles & scenery that Northumberland has on offer.
We booked Kipper Cottage as a last minute booking when our other Airbnb unfortunately cancelled on us 24 hours prior to our trip. After a couple hours of stress, we are so glad things happened as they did. Kipper's cottage was just perfect for our little family (2 adults, a 2.5 year old and a 5 month old). The location was absolutely perfect and a stone's throw to the harbour. It had everything we needed for our stay. Brian was a wonderful host and checked on us to ensure we had found everything we needed. We loved Amble before but this stay really cemented our love and we certainly will be coming back!
great location for exploring Amble and the surrounding beaches and attractions. comfy and pleasant home, everything you need for a short break. slept like a log every night.
There was everything you could possibly need & the location was perfect for my mum & I.
A very comfortable cottage with everything we wanted, on the edge of Amble. We were on the coastal path, near the marina, and within 10 minutes walk of the marina. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
Location very good as just off the High Street so many local shops and place to eat. Only a few minutes walk to harbour too. House spacious and well kept. Owner friendly checking all okay too. Good base to explore.
Bathroom downstairs, but no a big deal. No space to sit outside, but again no big deal.

The location was really good and enabled us to explore the local area on foot. Plenty to see and do in the lovely weather we had while there; however, the house would also have been just as good if the weather was bad with comfortable seating for reading or, with the landing window, a place to watch the view out towards the river.
The bed was comfortable, facilities were lovely.
Bit concerned about the car parking as there was no dedicated spot, but there were spaces close by. It was less of an issue for me as once parked up after arriving, I didn't use the car all week (walked or used local buses), but I can see some people might have an issue with this.
Despite very wet weather over the first part of our week, we enjoyed exploring the local sights (Alnwick Gardens are a real treat) and walking the Coastal Pathway.
Lovely accommodation, very nicely furnished and with local amenities close by. Useful information re walks etc for tourists provided We enjoyed being able to walk on the Braid and down to the Harbour Pier.

Kipper cottage is a spacious corner accommodation, tucked behind Amble's main high street, close to the harbour for eateries and boat trips to Coquet island and a 10 minute walk to the beaches. A newly refurbished house with all modern appliances and a kitchen with all you will need to cook, very comfortable and recommended for short as well as longer breaks.
