Founded by The Duchess of Northumberland, The Alnwick Garden is a multi-award winning visitor attraction based in Alnwick, Northumberland.

12 acres of meandering and magnificent Gardens are home to the world’s largest Tai Haku Cherry Orchard, a Grand Cascade comprising 120 water jets and the worlds largest Treehouse Restaurant.

Alnwick Castle

As well as special events and performances, there are many exciting things to do at Alnwick Castle daily. Guided tours explore the history of Alnwick Castle and its use as a filming location. Have a go at archery and test your abilities with a bow, try a dragon quest or learn to fly a broomstick in the spot where Harry Potter first took flight.

Lindisfarne

The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the northeast coast of England, accessible at low tide by car.  Lindisfarne Priory was founded by St.Aidan in 635 A.D.

A very comfortable cottage with everything we wanted, on the edge of Amble. We were on the coastal path, near the marina, and within 10 minutes walk of the marina. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
